The efforts of the staff and the Parents’ and Citizens’ Association have resulted in a pleasant and picturesque learning environment with well-spaced buildings and shady, well used play areas.
All buildings are low set. There are 4 general learning blocks, a separate Resource Centre, a Special Education Unit, two double units for Preparatory, Music room, 6 demountable classroom blocks, an Administration block and a multi-purpose hall. The permanent buildings and one demountable have wheelchair access.
A multi purpose basketball, netball and tennis court complements available playing facilities. Four large covered eating / playing areas provide shaded play areas. Three Adventure Playgrounds and a Fitness Circuit are available for student usage.
The school’s Tuckshop operates Wednesday to Friday. School uniforms are sold from the Tuckshop.
The school is air-conditioned and all classrooms have access to a refrigerator for student lunches.
Two computer laboratories are established in the Resource Centre. Students have supervised access to the Internet in all classrooms. Students also have supervised access to the Internet via the computer laboratories.
Parking, dropping off and picking up students from the staff parking area is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
COMMUNITY USE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES
The community may use school facilities when they are not being used for school purposes. If any group or individual wishes to use the school grounds or school buildings, permission must first be obtained from the Principal, with approval from the P&C. Hire fees may also apply for some facilities. An adult must accompany children under 18. Public Liability insurances will need to be sighted.
DOGS
Dogs are not permitted in the school grounds for obvious health and safety reasons. Dogs found on the grounds will be reported to the Pound Keeper for removal from the school.
