CLASS GROUPINGS
There are many ways of grouping children throughout the school. Some classes are cooperative classes in a double teaching space. In each double teaching space, two teachers plan and work together with a double class. In other areas of the school there are single classes under the direction of one-teacher or multi-age classes with one teacher and two or more year levels grouped together. In some cases, two teachers will share the teaching of a class on a permanent, part-time basis. Irrespective of what class your child participates in, the educational aims will be the same.
KEY LEARNING AREAS
Students participate in key learning areas, which include English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Technology, Health and Physical Education, The Arts (including Music) and LOTE (Japanese- Prep to Year 6).
SWIMMING
Swimming lessons are an integral part of our Health and Physical Education program. H.P.E. is one of the Key Learning Areas endorsed by Education Queensland. Our students receive swimming instruction in Term 1 and continue these lessons in Term 4 of their Grade 4 year. Children are levied to cover the bus fare.
