Class-based Assessment
Our teachers use a variety of assessment tools to track student learning. This can include tests at the start and end of a unit, assessment tasks completed through a unit of work and ongoing monitoring of student progress with checklists, anecdotal observations and weekly tests.
National Assessment
Students in Year 3 and Year 5 participate in the National Assessment Programme: Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) in May of each year. This involves assessment across the strands of Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation, and Numeracy. Parents and carers receive an individual student report showing their child’s results in September. More information and resources can be found on the NAPLAN website.
