COMMUNICATION
If you have any concerns regarding your child’s education, please discuss these first with the class teacher. Appointments can be arranged at a mutually convenient time by contacting the school office. This ensures staff can be well-prepared and meetings can take place without interruption.
As teachers are generally unable to take phone calls during class time, messages can be left with the office and will be passed on promptly.
A school newsletter is distributed every second Friday and includes valuable information for parents and students about curriculum updates, classroom activities, and upcoming school events.
REPORTING TO PARENTS
Reporting to parents is an important part of our school’s commitment to student learning and progress. At the end of each semester, report cards are distributed to students. Parents are invited to attend a conference with their child’s teacher twice a year to discuss progress and achievement.
A class parent meeting may be held at the beginning of the school year in place of one of these interviews. Parents are also welcome to discuss their child’s progress at any other time throughout the year by arranging a convenient appointment through the school office.
NEWSLETTER
Every second Friday, the school newsletter is emailed to parents, families, and community members who subscribe to our mailing list. The newsletter is an important way to stay informed about school activities, events, and updates. We encourage all parents to subscribe to our newsletter, and stay connected with what’s happening at our school.
FACEBOOK
Mount Archer State School has an official Facebook page where updates and news are shared throughout the school year. We encourage past students, parents, and community members to follow our Facebook page to stay informed and connected.
Please note that, in accordance with Facebook’s terms and conditions, users must be 16 years or older. Therefore, our Facebook page is not intended for use by students.
ASSEMBLIES
Parents and caregivers are warmly invited to attend our regular school assemblies, held every Friday morning from 8:45am.
