The Mount Archer Parents and Citizens' Association meets on the third Wednesday of each month. Meetings are held in the administration block and start at 3.00pm.
Mount Archer State School’s P&C is a committee of parents and caregivers, who provide support to the Principal, teachers and students of our school.
The P&C raises funds for the school by organising a range of events for the enjoyment of students, staff and the wider school community. Our main events are fetes, spell-a-thon and raffles. We are also strongly involved with accessing community grants to assist in projects, such as new playground equipment, improved classroom resources, installation of water tanks, shade shelters and general ground improvements.
Our most significant fundraising is achieved through our school tuckshop, which provides a valuable service for busy parents, carers and staff. Volunteers are always welcomed in the tuckshop, so if you have any spare time during the week, simply call into the tuckshop to see one of our convenors. Without volunteer help, our tuckshop would not be able to operate on a daily basis.
The P&C meetings are a structured way to obtain information about our school and have a say about what is happening in and around our school. We share ideas and feedback to assist the Principal in the smooth running of our school. We greatly value the participation of interested parents and carers in our school. Please come along to a meeting and be involved in and informed about your school. We look forward to welcoming you.
