Speech Language Support in early years classrooms
Mount Archer State School
offers Speech-Language Therapy Services to all students in Prep and Year 1. A range of whole class
programs are run in classes targeting differentiated teaching
including:

Oral Language for Early years program (OLEY)
·
Prep Metalinguistic Awareness Program – 2nd Edition (PMAP-2)
·
Program for Oral Narrative Development (POND)
The speech-language pathologist collaborates with teachers to create a comprehensive literacy
program that embedded high reliability literacy strategies in modelled, guided
and shared reading programs. Pre and post-program screening for these programs
was is conducted by the speech-language pathologist
(SLP).
